The team at Venus Dental Care has implemented numerous protocols and follow additional guidelines to keep you safe, while providing the care you need. Here, we share what you can expect at your next dental appointment in Brampton amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Making Your Dental Appointment
We ask that patients call beforehand for any dental appointment needed, even emergencies. Appointments are carefully booked to limit direct contact with others. Due to COVID-19, we request only those requiring treatment come to the appointment, unless they require assistance. The accompanying caregiver will also be subject to screening measures.
Before Your Dental Appointment
Prior to your appointment time, you will be texted COVID-19 screening questions developed by the Ontario Ministry of Health. We ask that patients remain in their vehicle or outside the office until their appointment time.
You will be called inside once the previous appointment has been checked out, and our staff has thoroughly disinfected all surfaces. Upon entrance, your temperature and oxygen levels will be checked.
We have installed physical barriers (plexiglass) at reception, and arranged socially distanced seating for your safety. Tissues and hand sanitizers are also available throughout the office for you.
During Your Dental Appointment
Once you are brought in to the treatment room by a team member, you can remove your mask. You will be given a pre-procedural hydrogen peroxide anti-bacterial rinse, and the option of hand sanitizer or soap to perform hand hygiene. When you’re in the dental chair, you may notice some things look different from the last time you were there. Our dental team will be wearing additional protective equipment, ranging from n95 masks, face shields, gowns, and goggles. There is surgically clean air provided in every room with medical-grade HEPA filter air purifiers and extra-oral aerosol suction units. We will have disposable covers placed on computer keyboards and equipment handles to protect them from droplets. These additional precautions help protect both you and our team.
After Your Appointment
Once your treatment is complete, a team member will escort you to the front desk. Our administrative team will bill directly to your insurance, and allow contactless payment options for you. They will coordinate with your schedule to book your next appointment, and send you a ‘save the date’ text or email. Hand sanitizer is available for you to use before exiting the clinic.
